R026
Date:
Camera: Canon AE-1 Program
Film: Ilford HP5+
ISO: 400-3200
Developer: Rodinal 1:100 mixed with distilled water. TF5 Fixer.
Notes: This was a dual test. I wanted to test my Canon AE-1 Program with a fresh roll of B&W film as well as test Rodinal again. Overall, the negatives turned out quite nice. These negatives turned out a bit nicer than previous negatives developed in Rodinal. One difference in my process now versus when I first started a couple of months ago is that I am using distilled water when mixing my chemicals as well as a final 30 second rinse in distilled water at the end of the rinse phase after the negatives have been fixed. Distilled water is fairly inexpensive and really helps to maintain purity when mixing the chemicals. Also, I have noticed that the final rinse with distilled water really helps with the drying process. My negatives have shown a lot less spots since using distilled water.
